What is xAI?

xAI from ExampleAI is an extension for Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 and 2022. You can download it from the Microsoft Visual Studio Marketplace at >alpha.html or, you can click on the download link above.
From there, you download a VSIX file which you then run to install the extension into Visual Studio. We have a video in the Video Demos section (top bar menu above), that demonstrates how to install the extension.

Do I need a paid version of Visual Studio?

No. xAI runs with all editions of Visual Studio 2019 and 2023 including the free Community editions.

How do I run the xAI extension?

Once you have downloaded and installed the VSIX file from Microsoft, you run xAI by loading Visual Studio and clicking on the View menu option at the top of the screen menu bar. You then scroll down and select Other Windows. From there, the other window memu flys out and you scroll down to the line ->> Example AI - xAI. The xAI extension will load. You may then dock it to the desktop and/or pin it for easy one click access.

Is the xAI Extension free to use?

xAI is free to use for the first week. From there you will be billed every 30 days to the credit card on file for continued access.

Who owns the code copyright?

All programs made using xAI are owned by you. Those made while under a free trail may not be used for production purposes, however once you have paid to use the system, the programs may be used for production purposes even if you discontinue to use xAI in the future.

I signed up for a trial. My prepaid credit card was declined. Why?

Prepaid or debit credit cards are not accepted. You need to use a bank issued credit card and provide your email, name and address in order to subscribe.
